A doula is someone who provides emotional, physical, and informational support for a laboring woman and her family. A doula provides continuous care with full attention to the needs of clients for all of their labor and birth.

One of the main responsibilities of  Doulas is to help create a safe, trusting and compassionate space for a woman to birth her baby. Our goal is to honor the mother's and/or family's choices and needs for their birth experience.

How does this work?

•Consultation Visit - This visit is a free, no-obligation visit for anyone curious about our services. This visit is an opportunity to learn more about our services and get to know us. 

•Individualized Care - This means that although the following is a description of our typical service, if you need additional or alternative care, we will happily do our best to meet your needs.

•Prenatal Visits - We will meet with you 1-2 times before the birth. Each visit lasts an hour, giving us plenty of time to get to know each other, ask questions, share concerns and put together a birth plan.

•Phone and Email Support - If you have any questions or need suggestions at any point in your pregnancy, labor or postpartum, we are available by phone or email anytime.

•Birth - We provide continuous support through your labor and birth. No matter what length it is. We also support your birthing partners. Once your baby has arrived we provide breastfeeding support immediately after the birth.

•Postpartum Support - We will visit you once you are settled at home during the first week. Special circumstances such as a difficult birth experience or breastfeeding challenges may require additional visits, which we will happily provide.

•Breastfeeding Support - We are available to offer support and answer questions at any time.
